How does our Extended Fall CSA work?

The Extended Fall CSA is closed for 2023

The Extended Fall CSA is a 4 week CSA starting the week of October 1 and ending the week of October 22. Each week we will try to have 8-12 items, which may include a variety of Cooking Greens (kale, collards, spinach, amaranth, rapini), Salad Greens (lettuce, spicy greens mix, arugula), Brassicas (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts), Roots (potatoes, turnips, carrots, daikons, beets), Fruiting Veggies (peppers, winter squash, pie pumpkins, mushrooms), Alliums (garlic, onions).  You will receive a weekly newsletter by email at the beginning of each week describing your share items, cooking and storage tips, important dates, helpful hints, recipes, and feature articles from the farmers. Sometimes we also are able to offer a Fall cooking or preserving class for our Fall members.

Please note, we are using a new CSA management platform.  If you have not signed up for our Summer CSA or the Immune Booster CSA since May 2021, you will need to create a new account.  Instructions to do so can be found here:

Sign up for a Split Share

If you think it may be too much produce for you, consider splitting a share or alternating weeks with someone. The first buyer will be charged for half of the share, and the second buyer, invited by the first one through an email link, will be asked to pay the difference. If you are planning to sign up for a split share, please follow these directions, or contact us for assistance in signing up.

Payment Methods:

Once again we are offering online registrations, so please refer to the following payment options.

1. Credit card payments (online transaction, so you pay a small 3% fee)–If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can still use your credit card as a guest. Make a payment without a Paypal account.
2. Check payments (no online fee)– If you would like to use a check, you will receive a Confirmation/Invoice email after registering. Then you can send a check (or checks, if you are splitting a share) written out to “Tantre Farm” to our mailing address for the balance due listed on the invoice. IF YOU ARE SPLITTING A SHARE, PLEASE INCLUDE BOTH CHECKS IN THE SAME ENVELOPE.
3. VENMO (no additional fees)We now have the Venmo app, which is free, so for those of you with that, please send payments to @Deb-Lentz. Please make sure that your full name or at least the Primary Contact’s name is somewhere on your payment. Some folks need the last four digits of the cell number to send for the first time, so that is 6748.

What Do I Do When I Pick Up My Share? When Do I Pick Up My Share?

At each of the Distribution Sites, there will be a Tantré Farm worker or a white board to remind you of Pick-Up procedures, and a clipboard with a Pickup List to be checked off. Here is a general overview of Distribution Days, Times, and Locations:

*Ann Arbor Farmers´ Market (LOCATION–315 Detroit Street, Ann Arbor)
We will try to be in the same location every week at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market (www.a2farmersmarket.org), but are not always able. There is a map on the outside wall of the market office, where our stall is listed. Please always look for the large, canvas Tantré Farm sign as you walk around the market. Then follow instructions on the white board, and especially remember to check off contact person’s name and take a newsletter, if you need it. It can get very crowded at the market, so for those of you who split shares, it might work better if you split your share at one of your houses, instead of at the stall where a lot of people are coming and going.

Due to construction, Community has been re-routed to Ann Arbor Market on Saturdays.
Advantages for pick up at Ann Arbor Farmers Market: You can buy extra items from our stall and other vendors’ stalls and enjoy exploring the variety of Kerrytown stores and restaurants in downtown Ann Arbor.
DISTRIBUTION at Ann Arbor Farmers Market: Wed. and Sat. 7 AM until 12 PM

*Tantré Farm (LOCATION–2510 Hayes Rd., Chelsea)
